the BIG Break...

Not that big a break though...

but the getaway was simply great and much-needed after slugging our guts out this whole year 2008...hehe!

We went to have some kampung times at melaka last weekend..

Actually we joined hubby's family who went ahead earlier...

So that .evening we had super delicious Ikan bakar Dinner...filled with seafoods and freshly blended watermelon juices...

Anyway, the next day the family made their way back to Singapore while we stayed back to go around melaka...

dah lame you tak jln2 Melaka and how things have changed!

We went to Bandar Hilir but no more kereta lembu, so we walk2, went into the museum, walk down future to the new shopping mall and took a BECA back to our carpark!

Aku yang excited banget naik beca!!

hhahhahaha!

But aku kesian kan pakcik or rather atuk yang kayuh beca tu, so we told him to keep the cahnge hehehe!!

The Day my heart was boiling....!

haiz..guess you would have known...

I went to watch SG VS Vietnam at national stadium yesterday..

I went there in support of Singapore, patriotic la konon...

But I ended up supporting Vietnam...

ntah la eh, maybe wat i saw didnt reali appeal to me that much..

Firstly, b4 the game started, players were warming up on the pitch..

i was admiring how Vietnamese players was training and warming up together, synchronizing every moves..

they were so co-ordinated...

unlike the SG players, who seems to, well, had their own ideas...

haha!

they even displayed it thruout the match...

yes, they did try hard but not hard enuff...

Even though they had 55k crowd supporting them...

ok, the part when my heart boiled to the core...

I was flabbergasted on how we, chose to display poor sportmanship....

I felt bad when we, applauded everytime they announce the SG line-ups...

BUT..

We boo-ed at the opponents'...

We didnt even respect their National Anthem!!

Simply boo-ing like barbaric humans...

God..!

My heart was out to the Vietnamese...

If that wasn't bad enuff, they even shouted "malay vulgarity" as part of their "cheer" to the opponents..

haiz, wat an example to the kids around..

Can you imagine, they will go to skool and do the same...?

haha! then teacher will ask, wer did you learn that?

"from national stadium!" they will say..(hahahahaha)

Well, I am not asking a quiet sit down session la when watching soccer..

but at least, be a good sport...

Though you may Vietnam did the same on their home ground..

So this is indeed a vicious cycle, u do, i do and it will never ends..?

Though you may say, Viet played dirty. (if la..)

But i think you would be pissed too, if ur countrymen & country have been boo-ed and hurled at, berbakul2...

then I grabbed bro & dad too..

kuzzins had to split as we parked in different locations.

Then ayah got missing, cos he went looking for bro, whom he thought was missing...

Hub went looking for dad while I stood by the car..

Then police officer came, " you SG or Vietnam? "

I didnt know wat to answer as i was just a few feet from the chaos which had swept over to our area...shit!

I told him SG, and he asked me if I am sure...duh!

Yes I said and he told me to stand by my car.

Alhamdullilah, i was protected from the abusive crowd from then..

Then dad & hub & bro returned, we quickly got in the car and got directed out safely by the officers..

apalah nak gaduh2..

menang kalah kan adat permainan...

Just play better strategy next time...

today, we fetched Ryan and brought him to his usual playground..!

He was damn happy upon reaching the carpark..!

I was happy to see how Ryan attempt to go thru the obstacles on his own..

Once, he was always tumbled on by the blocks...

The Day Our Car Got Smashed!!

Believe it or not...

The car is only 1 month old...

But it was a difficult situation la altogether...

Somemore it had to be smash open by Fire Brigades!!

what a drama!!

Here was what happen..

Hub had brought Ryan to fetch me from werk..

Hub got off the car to light his cigarette..

The car door got closed and Ryan had to meddle with the buttons and unknowingly pressed the central lock, locking himself in...!

haha! wat a joke...

Then I came out of hotel, wanting to open the door but obviously, it was locked.

Hub then said no but then he also realised it was indeed locked!

can you imagine the situation??!

madness!

I tried to stay calm as I knew Ryan knows how to press the window down..

for a solid 15mins, we tried to get him to do just that..but failed..

I couldnt wait anymore, so I alerted my hotel team..

the whole entourage came!

Engineering, Security, my team etc..

some tried to break the lock..

some tried to entertain Ryan who, amazing wasnt crying at all..

in fact he looked amused..! haha!

half hour gone, my mental blocked already..

as all the locksmith said they had no dup key for Subaru car..

and Given the fact that the brand itself had a truckload of safety feature, there no way we can break in the car...

No choice...

I had to call 999...

upon hearing that a 19 month old baby is trapped, she said she would be sending a rescue team...

I said, " What??! no no lokk, who are you sending? "

fire engine...

hell no! haha! malu sak aku...so i just ask for police assistance...

But she said only fireman could handle that situation.

oh well, 10 minutes later..

A BIG FIRE ENGINE CAME!!!

those for putting out fire one...

hahahaha!!

but there were reali swift and professional la..

acted very fast..

tried to pacify Ryan who wasnt affected at all..duh!

then the big decision came...

to break the window open!

believe me...

the window was so tough!

first attempt didnt affect anything..

the window was still very much intact..

until the 4th or 5th attempt with the escalating size of crowbar..

finally the window caved in..itu pon sikit jer..

the firefighter put his hand in and opened teh door..

then got ambulance lak..

ya Allah..!

haha, she came to check Ryan who was smiling like as if nothing happen...

Felt like telling the paramedic to check on hubby condition instead..

CONFIRM hati dia sakit!!

HAhahHAHA!

ok ok end of story, lesson learnt ok!

BUt truly appreciate the Ritz Team, extremely supportive as the housekeeping department even came after all ended, armed with a vacuum cleaner to suck out all the glass fragment...

and right after that, got Bro's accident news..

Today, set off to meet my gynae for him to officialise it all...

then send Ryan to the nenek's...

Fetched Maya and set off for FM..

Last week was indeed a historic week!

one after another..

two BIG news came on 1 same day back-to-back..

so much that I simply dunno how to react...

I shall keep the first big news a secret for now..till tomorrow at least..

then after that, got a call that my bro..

YES, my only bro was involved in an accident!!

gasp!!

chill..chill..

called his mobile phone, no answer..

then got to know that it was a bike & bike accident..

the other bike burst in flames while his was badly smashed up..

that news was bad enuff, given the fact that the impact much have been a big blow...

then finally, got to know his condition, or rather how bad he looks...

but sungguh tak meyedapkan hati..

blood over his face etc!

hub came back home to fetch me, after only werking for 1/2 hour..

painful wait @ the emergency room..

blah..blah..blah..

he hand dislocated, face rabak, gigi patah..lips got stitched, in & out..ouch!

but, though it was painful to see him in pain, at least, he is ok..

you know wat i mean...

anyway, after work today, I told hub to pick Ryan up and meet me @ Marina Sq..

for the SESAME STREET LIVE SHOW!!

ryan enjoy banget...!

and lastly, we were eligible to the meet and greet session with the characters!

yesterday Ryan had his 18months doc assessment and also for his last booster jab..

Supposed to be the last jab for his baby years..

However hub opted to go for the chicken pox prevention jab next month..

well, better la i guess...

after that, he was irritable, what more with his flu bug which hit him the evening before.

dah macam PMS budak tu..

Anyway after that balik-ed, took after nap then proceed for a late lunch at BK Yishun..

ermm, sounds so wrong though.. hehehe!

Supposed to meet Shafiq but i guess Ryan will not co-operate with lepak-ing at kedai kopi, hence plan with him was postponed.

Then Hub's fren who ended up buying the same car as ours, right after we bought ours, called to say that his car was coming out tt same evening

so we went over to the Subaru workshop in Toa Pa Yoh..

Betapa sakitnya hati hubby, when he found out his car was in the BLUE shade that he was dying to have...

suka tul drg main sakat2 each other after tt..

then since he was picking up his wifey & daughter..

decided to go to Sentosa for a mini dip..

yes, a mini one...

Today, after breakfast, we went back to the Explorer Kids..

Membership till Ryan turns 12...hehe!!

we had so much fun since now, ryan is so much bigger to enjoy the facilities!!

Chaotic Month!!

First of all, I am on Child care leave today..

To reali take care of Ryan of course...

Cos mummy-in-law has been hospitalized since last Friday.

haiz, this is the time when I feel so "stuck" on whether to take long leave or not...

On one hand, Ryan is my responsibility..

On the other, my werk is another damn responsibility...

Responsibility for 8 "babies"...!

who needs constant guidance, words of support and coaching...

hehe!!

anyway, I AM SO PROUD OF THEM...

when we won in the monthly departmental contest..

that shows unity & togetherness..erm tak same ker tu??

Ok so what did i do today??

woke up & got ready to have our usual breakfast at McD with Ryan...

Then go grocery shopping..

Then main playground..

afterwhich Ryan turned to a RED lobster..!

then balik and he washed up again, took his milk and bum!!!

AFTERNOON NAP...!

While he was at that, hmm, actuali he still is at that, I THE CAREER WIFE, WHO DOESNT LIKE CLEANING, started to do magic..!

Well, no dusting or whatever affliated to dust..

more of playing with the cleaning agents and re-arranging of stuffs...

Both my toilets now smell of DETTOL..
